Each Manuosh yarn has been handcrafted from start to finish and Is utterly unique. Our yarns are made in traditional Mid-East manner. We love natural fibers and primarily use merino wool in our yarns. Our wool fibers are from the Hudson Valley (surrounding areas) & the south, where we choose the best quality available. All wool used by Manuosh is ethically, and cruelty-free produced & sourced. Our fibers are hand-dyed in small batches using natural dye. As such dye lots are small and unique. The beauty of the colorways we create is directly related to the small size of the lots we dye. Once fibers have been dye they are then spun into yarn – The spinning process is enormously time intensive. To spin one skein of our yarn, it takes around 1 or more hours. Even though the raw materials are the same, no two skeins are completely alike because of their handmade nature. Each skein is truly individual and one-of-a-kind. That said we do our best to match skeins for shipments as we understand your desire to match yarns as closely as possible for your project. It is normal for there to be variation among dye lots, please keep this in mind when ordering yarns for a large project.
